Mass Intention Policy
To ensure that all parishioners have an equal opportunity to request Mass intentions for their loved ones, our parish has established the following guidelines:
- Maximum Intentions: Each household may request a maximum of 4 Mass intentions per calendar year.
Weekend Limit: Of those Masses, only 2 may be scheduled for a weekend (Saturday Vigil or Sunday). - Opened Book Date: The Mass Book for the upcoming year opens on October 1, 2026. Intentions are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Mass for the People: In accordance with canon law, one Mass each Sunday and Holy Day of Obligation is reserved as the Missa pro populo (Mass for the People) and cannot be scheduled for a private intention. Because our pastor is entrusted with both Christ Our Light and St. Stanislaus, this single Mass is offered for the living and deceased parishioners of both parishes (cf. can. 534 §2). Any Mass dates that remain available will be announced one month in advance. At that point, parishioners who have reached the annual request limit may request additional intentions, subject to availability.Thank you for helping us give every member of our parish family the opportunity to request a Mass intention.
